Relationship & Sex Therapy for Real People with Real Lives
Welcome – I’m Amy Palmer, LPC, CST. As a Certified Sex Therapist through the Sexual Health Alliance, I specialize in helping people better understand themselves and their relationships—emotionally, physically and sexually.
I work with individuals and couples of all orientations, identities, and relationship configurations—including LGBTQIA+, kink/BDSM, non-monogamous, and those exploring new dynamics in intimacy. Whether you're rebuilding trust, deepening connection, healing from betrayal, or simply trying to navigate conversations around sex and desire, I'm here to help. I specialize in working with high-conflict couples and those facing communication challenges or other relational struggles. I'm here for the real, raw conversations that lead to meaningful change.
I'm a parent to a daughter on the autism spectrum, and I’m an ally for my daughter and brother who are in the LGBTQIA+ community. I’ve lived through divorce, co-parenting, step-parenting, loss of a teen and redefining what love and partnership mean. I also have lived experience in open relationships.
My approach is trauma-aware, affirming and culturally competent. Clients often tell me I’m the first therapist they didn’t have to “teach” about non-monogamy, kink/BDSM, gender diversity, or neurodivergence. That matters. I utilize Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I understand what it feels like to walk into a therapy room worried you'll be misunderstood or judged. You won’t get that here. If you're ready to have honest conversations about sex, love, connection, and everything that comes with them, let’s talk.
My work is entirely based on conversation, education, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches - no different from other types of mental health counseling.
Before becoming a therapist, I served in the U.S. Air Force as a mental health practitioner and later worked in public relations in Austin, Texas.
